Q: When may I expect
delivery after a sale is written?
A: We will attempt to contact you
within 72 hours if your merchandise is in stock to
arrange a date for delivery. If the merchandise you
ordered is not in stock, we will call you after we
receive the merchandise into our warehouse to schedule
your delivery. Generally, deliveries are made within 2
weeks after receiving them into our warehouse for items
being delivered on our regular delivery routes.
Q: What days do you deliver to my area?
A: The days of the week we deliver
vary for each zip code area. In most local areas, we
deliver every week. In more remote areas, we deliver
every other week or every third week of the month. You
may check with your designer at the time of your
purchase for the days we deliver to your area. However,
it is our delivery department that will schedule your
actual delivery date.
Q: What time frames are available for a delivery?
A: We will arrange a 3-hour time
window for your delivery. For example, a 3-hour time
window can be between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., 11:00
a.m. and 2:00 p.m., or 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. depending
upon the delivery route. Our delivery department will
give you the time window when your delivery is
confirmed. We will try to accommodate your request for a
special time frame. Our drivers also carry cell phones
so that if requested we can give you a call ahead before
your delivery.
Q: Does Greenbaum's make any evening or weekend
deliveries?
A: All deliveries are scheduled
for daytime hours in a three hour time frame Monday -
Friday (between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM). We currently do
not deliver on weekends.
Q: When do I pay for delivery and/or complete order?
A: Our delivery department will
contact you prior to delivery to confirm your delivery
timeframe, delivery address, and balance due. You can
pay the delivery drivers at the time of delivery or
contact our store prior to delivery for processing any
outstanding balance(s) on your order including the
delivery charge.
Q: Is my furniture inspected before it is delivered?
A: Yes. Every piece of furniture
is carefully inspected prior to delivery. Our delivery
personnel will also inspect each piece of furniture
prior to loading it on the truck for delivery to the
customer.
Q: Is the furniture set up in my home?
A: Yes. Your new furniture will be
set up in the room you request. Drivers are not
permitted to move and/or handle stereo, television or
any other electronic devices.
Q: Will the driver move my existing furniture?
A: The driver will assist you in
moving your existing furniture to accommodate your
delivery.
Q: Will drivers remove old furniture, especially
bedding?
A: Our drivers will remove an old
mattress and box spring if a customer buys a new set
from Greenbaum's. This must be specified at time of
purchase. Our drivers are not authorized to remove any
other furniture.
Q: Will drivers make effort to "fit" furniture
into house and/or room?
A: A reasonable effort will be
made to fit the furniture into the house and/or room. It
is advisable for customers to take all pertinent
measurements to ensure that furniture will fit into the
house and/or room before purchasing an item.
Q: Will drivers attach my own bed frame to my new
headboard or footboard ?
A: Yes, our drivers will assemble
your bed if it is compatible with the headboard or
footboard.
Q: Will drivers wear
protective "booties" when they deliver my
furniture?
A: No. Due to the size and weight
of most furniture, "booties" can interfere
with the delivery causing slipping or tripping and
possible serious injury to the driver while carrying
your furniture. Drivers are required to wear protective
footwear while delivering.
Q: How will my new
walls, floors and carpets be protected from damage?
A: Our drivers will
"pad" your walls, floors and carpets where
necessary with furniture blankets for protection.
